Yoga is not all about making pretty postures - it is much much more. Certain techniques such as breathe work, meditation and mindfulness practices have been shown to decrease stress, increase awareness of self and emotions, relieve anxiety, improve mood, increase mindfulness around food choices and consumption, decrease cravings and increase self-esteem and self-acceptance.
